EHT Now Belongs to TRUMPF

Ditzingen company acquires one of the oldest enterprises in Germany – TRUMPF machine portfolio enhanced.

Ditzingen, February 4, 2015 – TRUMPF has acquired one of the oldest companies in Germany: EHT Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH, based in Teningen/Breisgau. The contracts for the 100-percent acquisition of the special equipment manufacturer were signed in December 2014, and the antitrust authorities gave the go-ahead at the end of January.

Founded in 1771, Eisen- und Hammerwerke Teningen (EHT) manufactures press brakes and guillotine shears. EHT possesses special expertise in the production of machines for customized applications. “The products from EHT are an excellent enhancement to the TRUMPF portfolio,” said Dr. Mathias Kammüller, member of the TRUMPF Group Management Board and Chairman of the Machine Tools Division. “Moreover, the traditional enterprise, with its corporate culture and long-term orientation, goes very well with TRUMPF, so we are looking forward to a successful future together.”

EHT Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH has 130 employees, and generated sales of around 27 million euros in 2014. The company was previously owned by the Theisen family.
